This policy explains what information Humane Culture collects when you use humaneculture.com, our courses on New Zenler, and our free quizzes. It also explains how we use that information and the choices you have.
Information you give us: your name and email address when you fill out a sign-up form, take one of our quizzes, join a waitlist, create an account, or contact us.
Account and course information: the courses you have bought, your progress through them, and your answers to course quizzes.
Purchase records: what you bought, the price, and the date. Stripe and PayPal process payments and handle your card number. We never see it.
Your quiz result: when you give us your email after one of our free quizzes, we save your result (for example, “Worker Animal: Horse”) as a tag on your email record. Your answers to the quiz questions stay in your own browser. They are not sent to us.
Technical information: like most websites, New Zenler records basic information about visits, such as your browser type, device, and IP address, to run and protect the site.
We use your information to give you access to the courses you buy, send the emails you signed up for, match follow-up emails to your quiz result, answer your questions, keep records of purchases and refunds, and keep the site working and secure.
Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link. When you unsubscribe, it takes effect within 10 business days, usually much sooner. We keep your address on a do-not-email list so you are not added back by mistake. After you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we may still send emails about your account or a purchase, such as a receipt.
We use a few service providers to run the site. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:
We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We may also share information when the law requires it, or with a buyer if the business is ever sold.
The site uses cookies, small files your browser stores, to keep you signed in and to make the site work. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the site, such as signing in, may stop working. Our Cookie Policy gives the details.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email support@humaneculture.com and we will answer within 30 days. You can update your name and email yourself from your account page. If you ask us to delete your information, we may keep purchase records that tax and accounting rules require us to keep.
Do Not Track: some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for what that signal means, so the site does not change how it works when it receives one.
The site is meant for adults. You must be at least 18 to create an account or buy a course. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have information from someone under 18, we will delete it. If you think a child has given us information, email support@humaneculture.com.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and our service providers protect the information they handle for us. No website is completely secure, so we cannot promise that your information will never be accessed without permission.
We keep account and course information while your account is open. We keep purchase records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. We keep your email on our list until you unsubscribe, and on the do-not-email list after that. We delete the rest when we no longer need it.
The site is run from and hosted in the United States. If you use it from another country, your information will be stored and handled in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from yours.
We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also email account holders before it takes effect.
